His Majesty offers his condolences on the death of Queen Elizabeth II and congratulates King Charles

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik offered his condolences on the death of Queen Elizabeth II to His Majesty King Charles III, King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Head of the Commonwealth; to Camilla, Queen Consort and members of the British Royal Family, when His Majesty was received at Buckingham Palace in London.

His Majesty the Sultan expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy for the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, affirming that the Sultanate of Oman stood by the United Kingdom in its immense grief.

His Majesty the Sultan also expressed his congratulations and best wishes to the British monarch on his accession to the throne, wishing him success in leading the friendly people of Britain.

His Majesty King Charles III in turn expressed his sincere thanks and great appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for his noble and sincere feelings, wishing His Majesty the Sultan continued health and wellbeing and further progress and development for the Omani people.

His Majesty the Sultan was accompanied during the offering of condolences by Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court.
