Civil Aviation Authority signs six transport agreements
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) signed air transport agreements with Australia, Seychelles, Uganda, Chad, Suriname and Chile.
This took place during the Air Services Negotiation Event (ICAN) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, organised by the International Civil Aviation Organisation and attended by civil aviation authorities from around the world.
The agreements, signed for Oman by Engineer Naif bin Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the CAA, enable airlines in Oman and the signing countries to operate a number of passenger and cargo flights between their airports.
The CAA Chairman highlighted the importance of the relationships between Oman and the countries with which these agreements were signed.
He said the Authority seeks to advance the civil aviation sector by strengthening air transport cooperation and increasing airline operations to and from Oman. This aims to support the growth of economic, social and tourism activities in the Sultanate, he added.
