Seminar on economic and trade cooperation between Oman and Bangladesh

Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs of Oman’s Foreign Ministry, participated in a virtual seminar under the title: “Oman and Bangladesh Trade and Investment: Challenges and Opportunities”.

This seminar, organised by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Muscat, was held under the auspices of H.E. Dr A.K. Abdul Momen, Bangladesh’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The seminar dealt with opportunities for trade and investment exchange between the two friendly countries.

In a speech during the seminar Dr Momen praised the wise policy of the Sultanate and expressed his country’s aspiration for more economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries.

Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, spoke about the importance of the bilateral relationship between Oman and Bangladesh and stressed the Sultanate's orientation to strengthen its economic relations with the countries of the world.

It was reviewed from the Omani side by the President of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and from the Bangladeshi side by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

The seminar was also attended by various representatives of the trade and investment sectors in the two countries.
