Foreign Minister receives newly appointed UN Special Envoy for Yemen

Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Oman's Foreign Minister today received Hans Grundberg, the newly appointed UN Special Envoy for Yemen, currently visiting the Sultanate.

The two sides exchanged views on the efforts exerted to achieve a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire in Yemen. They also discussed easing the flow of humanitarian relief aid and forging a political settlement that meets the Yemeni people's aspirations for peace, stability, national unity and reconstruction.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, the Foreign Ministry’s Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs and officials from the ministry.
