On behalf of myself and the staff of Oman's Embassy in Beijing, I am pleased to welcome you to the official page of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman to the People’s Republic of China.
Through Oman's Foreign Ministry, the Embassy is working to strengthen the Sultanate's ties of cooperation and friendship with the People's Republic and to consolidate the existing relations of strategic partnership between the two countries.
We believe in the importance of hard work, efficiency and professionalism to raise Oman's standing among the ranks of developed countries. Bilateral relations
The history of Omani-Chinese relations reaches back to 750 AD when the Omani merchant, Abu Obeida Abdullah bin Al-Qassem, set foot in China.
That history reached a milestone on May 25th, 1978, when the two countries established diplomatic relations – firm evidence of their deep relationship based on positive and fruitful exchanges and cooperation.
The announcement in 2018 of the upgrading of bilateral ties to the level of a strategic partnership then opened a new chapter in relations between Oman and China, bringing the two nations and peoples further tangible benefits.

The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman offers a range of consular services both to Omani citizens visiting China and to Chinese citizens or residents wishing to visit Oman for tourism or business purposes. These services cover:

The Sultanate of Oman and the People's Republic of China work together to strengthen their relations of strategic partnership.
Both countries benefit from sharing experiences, ideas and opinions regarding matters of common concern and interest.
This sharing is based on dialogue and mutual respect, aiming to achieve peace and stability for all the peoples of the world.
Trade and investment
The Embassy focusses on introducing to Chinese investors the numerous investment opportunities in Oman.

Oman promotes cultural understanding and mutually beneficial partnerships with the People's Republic of China.
