Oman participates in GCC ministerial meeting with UK Foreign Minister

The Sultanate of Oman took part in the ministerial meeting held in the UK today between the GCC states and the United Kingdom (UK).

Oman's delegation was headed by Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister.

The meeting discussed topics pertaining to enhancing and following up the action plan agreed by the GCC states and the UK particularly those topics related to pressing ahead with entering into a free trade agreement between the two sides.

In order to bolster Gulf-British relations, the ministers explored a range of projects aimed at boosting partnership between the parties in all spheres and promoting common interests and benefits that would lead to further prosperity.

The ministers also exchanged views on regional and international issues and developments of common interest. They also reviewed ongoing endeavours to solve crises through dialogue and peaceful, political means to achieve security and stability.
