Oman's Foreign Minister holds talks with Chinese Foreign Minister

Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, this morning held political talks with His Excellency Wang Yi, State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.

During the talks, held in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China, the two sides reviewed aspects of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways of enhancing them in the economic, investment and cultural fields. A number of regional and international issues of common interest were also discussed.

Political talks between the Foreign Ministers of Oman and China

The two sides expressed their keenness to continue strengthening the coordination and consultation existing between the two friendly countries and their determination to advance bilateral cooperation to greater levels in the service of mutual interests and benefits. They also affirmed their continued support for all endeavours and efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region and the world.

On the occasion of the Chinese New Year and the Spring Festivals, the Omani Foreign Minister extended his warm congratulations to the Chinese Minister, the Chinese leadership and the friendly Chinese people, wishing them continued growth, development and prosperity.

The talks were attended by Ambassador Khalid Almuslahi, Head of the Department of the Minister's Office at the Omani Foreign Ministry; Deng Li, Chinese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Wang Di, Director of the West Asia and North Africa Department of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as a number of officials from both sides.
