Foreign Minister receives US special envoy to Yemen

Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, received in Muscat this morning the US Special Envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking.

The meeting discussed developments and efforts related to the sustainability of the truce in Yemen. Both sides stressed the importance of joint action to build confidence and encourage constructive dialogue between all parties.

The two sides also affirmed their support for international efforts, including the work of the United Nations envoy to Yemen, towards ending the war and entering into a comprehensive political process that meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people to achieve security, stability and peace in their country.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Khalid Almuslahi, Head of the Minister's Office Department and Leslie Tsou, US Ambassador to Oman as well as a number of officials from both sides.
