Foreign Minister holds meeting with Ambassadors and Heads of Missions to Oman

Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, held the third annual meeting with ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

Sayyid Badr highlighted the pillars of Oman’s foreign policy and touched on regional and international developments. He also spoke about Oman’s efforts to enhance the investment environment and to diversify its economy. He also explored climate issues and underscored Oman’s efforts to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050. He stressed that Oman welcomes cooperation and partnership with Arab and friendly countries in this field.

The Foreign Minister congratulated Qatar on hosting World Cup 2022 and the United Arab Emirates on being selected as host of the Conference of the Parties (COP28) in 2023.

Sayyid Badr exchanged views with the ambassadors on cooperation between the Foreign Ministry and diplomatic missions. He lauded the efforts of the ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps to consolidate ties of cooperation between their respective countries and Oman.

The meeting was attended by Mohammed Alwahaibi, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs.
