Oman and France hold strategic dialogue session

A strategic dialogue session between Oman's Foreign Ministry and the French Foreign Ministry took place today at the French Ministry's offices in the capital, Paris.

The Omani side was led by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs and the French side was led by Anne Marie Descôtes, Secretary-General of the French Foreign Ministry.

The session reviewed relations between the two friendly countries and discussed ways to develop bilateral cooperation, economic partnership and investment, as well as enhancing cultural and scientific exchanges.

Views on current regional and international issues of common interest were also exchanged, with an emphasis on the importance of supporting efforts that enhance peace and stability.

During his visit to Paris, Sheikh Khalifa also met with Patrick Durel, adviser for North Africa and the Middle East to the President of the French Republic.

The meeting saw an exchange of views on issues of common interest and discussed existing areas of bilateral cooperation and ways to enhance that cooperation to serve the two countries mutual interests.
