Oman and Bangladesh hold talks

The Foreign Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman and the People's Republic of Bangladesh held a session of political consultations In Muscat today.

The meeting discussed regional and international issues and developments of common concern.

The session also reviewed relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of trade, investment and food security, as well as labour relations and other issues serving the common interests of the two friendly peoples.

The Omani side was led by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, while the Bangladeshi side was led by Ambassador Masud bin Momen, Foreign/Senior Secretary of the Bangladeshi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The session was attended by Mohammed Nazmul Islam, Bangladesh's Ambassador to the Oman, Ambassador Yusuf Alzadjali, Head of the Omani Foreign Ministry's Asia and Pacific Department, as well as officials from the foreign ministries of the two countries.
