His Majesty receives the Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today received at Al Barakah Palace Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, friendly conversations were exchanged and the progress of the strong fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries was reviewed in light of their common historical ties. The meeting also discussed a number of matters of common interest.

The meeting was attended from Oman by: His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court and Dr Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information.

It was attended from the UAE by Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, Chairman of Sharjah Petroleum Council and Deputy Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council, Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Oman and Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of Department of Culture in Sharjah and Member of Sharjah Executive Council.
