Orchid named after His Majesty the Sultan
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik visited the National Orchid Garden in Singapore where an orchid was named after him to mark his State visit.
His Majesty expressed his great appreciation for the honour which reflects the strength of relations between Oman and Singapore.
Naming orchids after kings, presidents, leaders of state and senior officials has been a tradition for more than 50 years at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
