Belarus: Ambassador presents credentials

Hamood bin Salim bin Abdullah Altowaiya, Oman's Ambassador to the Russian Federation, presented his credentials as Non-resident Ambassador to Belarus to Belarus President Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko in the capital, Minsk.

The Ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said to President Lukashenko and his wishes for health and happiness to him, his government and the people of Belarus for progress and prosperity.

The Ambassador also stressed Oman’s keenness to advance relations in all fields for the common benefit of both countries and to help achieve stability in the international community.

President Lukashenko asked the Ambassador to convey his greetings to His Majesty and to the Omani people for continued progress and prosperity.

In his speech at the credentials presentation ceremony, Ambassador Hamood bin Salim bin Abdullah Altowaiya said relations between the two countries were characterised by a high level of mutual understanding. He said Oman was one of Belarus's most important partners in the Middle East and stressed the need to resume communication and cooperation.

The President recalled his visit to Oman, describing it as a wonderful country, and expressed his readiness to continue constructive political dialogue and cooperation in logistical and industrial projects.
