Foreign Minister receives UN Envoy to Yemen

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received Hans Grundberg, the United Nations Envoy to Yemen, at the Ministry  in Muscat.

During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the UN's efforts to achieve comprehensive reconciliation and peace in Yemen.

Sayyid Badr emphasised the importance that Oman attaches to the stability, security, unity and sovereignty of Yemen and Oman's support for all efforts aimed at achieving this in line with the interests and aspirations of the Yemeni people and so build peace and security in the region.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashil Almaskari, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Department for the GCC and the region, as well as a number of Omani and UN officials.
