Oman and Uzbekistan sign agreement to explore business opportunities
Asyad Group, Oman's global integrated logistics provider, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Tashkent with the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The agreement aims to explore promising trade opportunities in the logistics sector and strengthen supply chains between the two countries.
The agreement was signed by Sheikh Nasser Al Harthy, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority and Vice President for Operations of Asyad Group, and Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan.
The MoU aims to leverage Asyad Group's expertise in managing and operating dry ports, railways, warehouses, air freight, last-mile services and e-commerce solutions. This will enhance the efficiency of logistics operations in Uzbekistan and Central Asia.
The MoU also reflects Asyad Group's vision to expand its role as an integrated logistics solutions provider. It seeks to improve international trade efficiency, open new horizons for business growth, meet global market needs and strengthen trade relations between Oman and Uzbekistan.
The signing ceremony was attended by Oman's Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Dr AlSayyida Wafa Jabr Nasser Albusaidi, and Asyad Group's CEO, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Salim Al Hatmi.
