Oman’s economic performance improves in 2023

The Ministry of Economy announced that the Sultanate of Oman witnessed numerous developments and achievements during 2023, which had a positive impact on enhancing the performance of the Omani economy.

This led to improving the standard of living for citizens, and ensuring the sustainability of decent living conditions for them. This is in line with national priorities, the objectives of the tenth five-year development plan, and the strategic directions of “Oman Vision 2040.”

Dr Nasser Almaawali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, said that the current year witnessed  improvement in the performance of the Omani economy,

He added that economic indicators are positive and reassuring, confirming the success of the economic and financial policies adopted.

There are also expectations that the Omani economy will continue to achieve further growth in 2024.

This will be stimulated by adopting flexible economic policies that respond to global changes, continuing to adopt stimulating economic policies and working to continuously improve various economic procedures and legislation.
