The first round of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the Sultanate of Oman and the Hellenic Republic was held.

The Omani delegation was headed by Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, while the Greek delegation was headed by Alexandra Papadopoulou, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic.

The consultations discussed the friendly relations between the two countries and ways to develop them, reaffirming their commitment to expanding cooperation, particularly in tourism, maritime transport and culture.

The two countries also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The consultations were attended by Katerina Varvarigou, Greece’s Ambassador to Oman, and officials from both countries.
