Khalid Bamakhalif, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Morocco, along with staff of Oman’s Embassy, attended the opening ceremony of the 30th Rabat International Authored Film Festival.

Oman is participating in the festival this year as Guest of Honour, represented by the Oman Film Society.

The ceremony featured a special tribute to Omani cinema, celebrating the Omani film movement and Oman’s efforts in supporting cultural, cinematic and artistic industries.

In his speech on the occasion, the Ambassador said that Oman’s participation forms part of efforts to advance cultural diplomacy, to which the Sultanate of Oman attaches special importance as part of Oman Vision 2040. He noted that this contributes to enhancing Oman’s international presence through arts and cinema as a bridge for civilisational and human communication among nations.
