The Italian Golf Federation and the Italian Professional Golfers Association honoured the Oman Golf Trophy during the 2025 Italian Golf Awards ceremony. The Federation recognised the championship as one of the most prominent sporting events, resonating widely among Italian sports elites.

The tournament aimed to use golf to strengthen diplomatic, trade and cultural relations.

The Oman Golf Trophy 2024 has completed the three rounds held in the Republic of India, in the presence of Issa Saleh Abdullah Alshibani, Oman’s Ambassador to India. The three rounds saw the qualification of six winners to participate in the final of the tournament, which will be held in Muscat next week.

The Oman Golf Trophy rounds have teed off in the Republic of South Africa attended by Ali Said Alkathiri, Head of Oman’s Mission in Pretoria. The rounds will conclude on November 19. The winners will qualify for the final round of the championship in Muscat in December.

The competition is part of the Foreign Ministry’s economic and tourism diplomacy programme.

The second Oman Golf Trophy has been continuing in India, with the conclusion of the tournament’s round in Hyderabad. The Indian phase of the Oman Golf Trophy 2024 began this morning in Mumbai, western India, with the participation of 85 players. The event was attended by Oman’s Consul in Mumbai, Jameel Al Balushi, and other notable figures. After completing its rounds in Austria, Japan and Germany, the Oman Golf Trophy 2024 completed its Italian rounds. These were held under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Nazar Al Julanda Majid Alsaid, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Italian Republic. 600 players participated in the Italian stage of the tournament, which was attended of the former Captain

The Oman Golf Trophy concluded its 26th and final round in Germany. More than 1,000 sports and business figures have taken part in the competition across the Federal Republic.. Six players have qualified for the final round of the tournament to be held in Muscat.
