The Sultanate of Oman’s Embassy in the Syrian Arab Republic held a reception to mark National Day. The reception, held at the Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus, was attended by Syrian officials, Ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries, and members of the diplomatic corps in Syria.

The two Ministers also exchanged views on regional and international developments.

On behalf of the Arab Group, the Sultanate of Oman affirmed before the UN Security Council the full solidarity of the Arab states with the Syrian Arab Republic and their firm support for its unity, sovereignty, and stability. Oman commended Syria’s efforts to promote national reconciliation, maintain security, and restore state institutions. It also called for the lifting of sanctions

The Ministers discussed how to strengthen relations between Oman and Syria.

The conference reviewed the humanitarian and security challenges linked to the situation in the camps.

Turki Mahmoud Albusaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Syrian Arab Republic, received Major General Patrick Gauchat, Head of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in the Golan. During the meeting they discussed the work of UNDOF and the latest developments in southern Syria.

Raed Al Saleh, Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management in the Syrian Arab Republic, received Ambassador Turki Albusaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Syrian Arab Republic. The meeting discussed relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them.  

The President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmed Al Sharaa, met with Arab and foreign ambassadors, including Oman’s Ambassador to Syria, Ambassador Sayyid Turki Mahmoud Albusaidi, at the People’s Palace in Damascus. The meeting discussed ways of enhancing cooperation. President Al Sharaa underlined the importance of broadening areas of collaboration and developing channels of communication. The Ambassadors affirmed their countries’ commitment to continuing

Oman’s Ambassador to Syria, Sayyid Turki Albusaidi, received Tarek Al Talhama, Head of the UN Envoy’s Office to Syria, at the Omani Embassy. During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in Syria and the region.

The call dealt with cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop relations.
