The Royal Decrees ratify agreements between Oman and the Governments of Iraq, Indonesia and the United Kingdom.

During the meeting Sheikh Khalifa outlined the key elements of Oman’s foreign policy.

Arsenio Antonio Domínguez Velasco, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) met Mansour Khalfan Al Wahaibi, Oman’s Permanent Representative to the IMO. During the meeting, Oman deposited its Instrument of Accession to Annex VI of the MARPOL Convention relating to preventing pollution from ships and its Instrument of Ratification of the amendments to the Convention establishing the International Maritime Organization.

The Sultanate of Oman signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Board of Trustees of the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to carry out joint scientific studies on Omani plants, document their diversity, publish research and develop specialised training programmes that build national expertise in environmental education and plant conservation.

Sayyid Badr explained the fundamentals of Oman’s foreign policy and its role in enhancing efforts for peace and stability.

The meeting took place in Bahrain on the sidelines of the Manama Dialogue.

The Royal Geographical Society in London hosted a lecture titled “The Scent of Time: Omani Frankincense from Antiquity to Innovation.” The lecture, organised by the British Omani Society and  sponsored by Amouage, highlighted the rich heritage and historical significance of Omani frankincense.

They discussed regional and international efforts to promote stability in the region.

Mr Evans captivated the distinguished audience with a presentation on his latest “Jewel of Arabia Expedition”.

The meeting reviewed relations and discussed ways to further strengthen them.
