His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik<\/a> received a written message from the President of the Republic of the Philippines, Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr<\/a>,<\/p>\n

The message concerns the friendly and cooperative relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of the Philippines and ways to enhance them across fields of mutual interest.<\/p>\n

Oman\u2019s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi<\/a> received the message during a meeting with the Philippines’ Foreign Minister Maria Theresa Lazaro<\/a>,who is on an official visit to Oman.<\/p>\n

The Ministers reviewed bilateral relations and their interest in expanding partnership in economic, trade, investment, and tourism fields.<\/p>\n

The Ministers also explored ways to develop cooperation in education, vocational and technological training, and digital transformation. They discussed encouraging partnerships between relevant bodies in food security, agriculture, fisheries, energy, transport, and logistics.<\/p>\n

The Ministers also affirmed the importance of continuing regular consultations between the two foreign ministries to follow up on cooperation opportunities and programmes, to exchange views on issues of mutual interest, and to develop diplomatic communication mechanisms.<\/p>\n

They also discussed a number of developments in the Middle East and the countries of ASEAN (The Association of Southeast Asian Nations), noting the convergence of their political views on various regional and global issues and the importance of dialogue and coordination in supporting international peace and stability.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
