Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi<\/a> held a meeting this evening with a group of Ambassadors of African Countries to the Sultanate of Oman. He also held a separate meeting with Ambassadors of Central Asian countries and the Ambassador of Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n

The meetings were held as part of Oman\u2019s ongoing diplomatic efforts to clarify its position on the ongoing conflict in the region and the serious challenges and repercussions it poses for security, stability and the global economy.<\/p>\n

During the meetings Sayyid Badr said that coordinated international efforts are vital to achieve a ceasefire. He called for an end to the Israeli and American war against the Islamic Republic of Iran and its unacceptable repercussions on countries of the region.<\/p>\n

The meetings also emphasised that Oman is continuing with its humanitarian efforts to facilitate transit through its territory and airports for those wishing to travel to various regional and international destinations.<\/p>\n

The meetings were attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz Alhinai, the Ministry’s Ambassador-at-large; Sheikh Khalid Almuslahi, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs<\/a>; Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed Almaskari, Head of the Ministry’s Department for the GCC and Region, and Acting Head of the Central Asia Department; and Ambassador Dr Mohammed Albalushi, Head of the Africa Department.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
