The Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt held a session of consultations today.<\/p>\n

This took place when Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister<\/a> received Dr Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt.<\/a><\/p>\n

The meeting reviewed the latest developments concerning the military escalation in the region, expressing deep concern over the expanding scope of this escalation, and agreeing on the paramount importance of halting it and working to end the war.<\/p>\n

The Ministers emphasised the need to enhance political and diplomatic solutions, and the need to employ reason and dialogue to spare the region from sliding into utter chaos as a result of continued escalation and the broadening of the conflict.<\/p>\n

The two Ministers renewed their rejection and condemnation of all military actions targeting Arab countries. They stressed the importance of stopping these actions immediately, maintaining a policy of good neighbourliness, and consolidating the principles of regional cooperation.<\/p>\n

They also agreed on the importance of continuing their joint efforts to push for political and diplomatic solutions to preserve regional and international peace and security.<\/p>\n

They strongly reaffirmed the necessity of respecting the Charter of the United Nations, the rules of international law, and international humanitarian law.<\/p>\n

Dr\u00a0Abdelatty expressed Egypt’s appreciation for the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik,<\/a> valuing highly the mediation efforts undertaken by Oman aimed at de-escalating tensions and advancing pathways towards political solutions in the region.<\/p>\n

Sayyid Badr expressed his appreciation for the existing cooperation and coordination between the two countries. He praised the efforts exerted by Egypt alongside Oman, within the framework of political and diplomatic endeavours, to support the pursuit of regional security and stability, and to bolster political solutions to ongoing crises.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
