An official welcome ceremony was held for His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik<\/a> on the occasion of His Majesty\u2019s state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n

Upon the arrival of His Majesty\u2019s motorcade at the Palace of Independence in the Kazakh capital, Astana, President Kassym Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan<\/a> led the welcoming party. The President renewed his welcome to His Majesty as an honoured guest of his country, and wished His Majesty and the accompanying official delegation a pleasant and successful visit.<\/p>\n

His Majesty then greeted senior Kazakh officials and other dignitaries, while President Tokayev greeted the members of His Majesty\u2019s accompanying official delegation.<\/p>\n

His Majesty and the President proceeded to the dais, where the national anthems of the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Kazakhstan were played. His Majesty then inspected the guard of honour.<\/p>\n

Commemorative photographs of His Majesty and President Tokayev were taken at the Palace of Independence to mark the occasion.<\/p>\n
