Foreign Minister holds discussions with Yemeni counterpart

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, met with Dr Shaya Mohsin Zindani, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Yemen, on the sidelines of the joint Gulf-Yemeni ministerial meeting hosted by Qatar today.

During the meeting, both Ministers emphasised the deep fraternal relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Yemen and their commitment to developing and enhancing these relations in all fields. They agreed to continue consultation and cooperation to ensure the security and stability of Yemen, to strengthen its sovereignty, unity and independence, and to promote ways to achieve peace and harmony among all sections of the Yemeni people.

The meeting was attended by Sayyid Ammar bin Abdullah Albusaidi, Oman's Ambassador to Qatar; Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Al Maskari, Head of the Foreign ~Ministry's GCC and Region Department, as well as Omani and Yemeni officials.
