Foreign Minister holds talks with Iranian Foreign Minister

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, held talks in Muscat today with Dr Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The meeting reviewed the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and the development of mutual interests.

The Ministers also discussed a number of regional and international developments of common interest, stressing the need to continue consultations and to support efforts to consolidate regional security and to encourage dialogue in order to resolve differences peacefully.

The talks were attended by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs; Ambassador Khalid Al Muslahi, Head of the Minister’s Office; Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed Almaskari, Head of the GCC Department; Ambassador Ali Najafi Khoshroudi, Iran's Ambassador to Oman and a number officials from both sides.
