Foreign Minister meets Egyptian counterpart
Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, met with Egypt's Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the meeting, both Ministers reaffirmed the strength and depth of Omani-Egyptian relations and expressed their commitment to further developing these ties across various vital sectors.
In this context, they looked forward to the next session of the Omani-Egyptian Joint Committee and the potential for tangible results to expand cooperation in all sectors.
The two Ministers also reviewed a range of topics on the current agenda of the UN General Assembly session.
They also exchanged views on regional developments, particularly the Palestinian issue.
They discussed efforts to achieve justice, alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and realise their aspirations for independence and freedom.
Sayyid Badr stressed the pivotal role of Egypt in supporting just Arab causes, while Egypt's Foreign Minister commended Oman's foreign policy, the wisdom of its leadership, and its constructive and peaceful positions regionally and globally, emphasising the importance of continued collaboration in Arab positions to push for peaceful solutions.
