Foreign Minister meets Honorary Consuls of Oman
Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi met today with Honorary Consuls representing the Sultanate of Oman in Turkey, Germany, the Czech Republic, Finland, Lithuania and Uganda.
The meeting was part of a programme of visits organised by the Ministry for the Sultanate's Honorary Consuls to friendly countries,
The Minister held discussions with the visitors on ways to enhance cooperation between the Sultanate and the countries where they represent Oman. The meeting also discussed investment opportunities in Oman to focus on with these countries.
The Honorary Consuls expressed their thanks for the initiative of the Ministry in inviting them and organising their visit program, especially the meeting with Omani government officials and with the private sector, enabling them to become more closely acquainted with Oman's economic policies and trends, within the framework of Vision 2040 and the many promising opportunities it provides.
The Honorary Consuls also visited the Sultanate’s pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai and attended the Invest in Oman Forum organised there by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion. During their visit to Expo 2020 Dubai they also participated in the celebration by the Oman pavilion of the 51st National Day.
The Honorary Consuls praised the cultural legacy promoted by the Omani pavilion along with the future outlook for the Sultanate of Oman, especially in the fields of sustainability, the environment and opportunities for economic and tourism diversification.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Khalid Almuslahi, Head of the Minister's Office and a number of officials.
