Foreign Minister meets Saudi and Kuwaiti counterparts and GCC Secretary General

Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, met with His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of  the Munich Security Conference, which opened today in Germany.

During the meeting, the Ministers discussed relations between Oman and Saudi Arabia and ways to enhance and support them. They also discussed the latest regional developments, exchanging views on international issues of common interest.

Sayyid Badr also met with Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, Foreign Minister of Kuwait. The meeting saw an exchange of views and consultation on issues of regional and global concern, most notably the Palestinian issue and the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.

The Ministers also discussed bilateral cooperation between Oman and Kuwait and opportunities for developing that cooperation, in light of the warm relations that the two countries enjoy and the care of the leaders of the two countries.

The meeting was attended by Maitha Saif Almahrouqi, Oman's Ambassador to Germany, as well as Omani and Kuwait officials.

Sayyid Badr also met with Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. The meeting discussed the progress of the GCC in a number of areas of joint Gulf action.

The Minister and the Secretary General also discussed the regional situation, agreeing to support the advance of the peace process and immediately stop the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
