Foreign Minister meets Vice President of India

Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, met today with the Vice President of the Republic of India, Vinicia Naidu, within the framework of his official visit to the friendly Republic of India.

During the meeting, the existing friendship and cooperative relations between the two countries were reviewed and the joint interest was emphasised to strengthen and develop relations in various fields, to bring common benefits to both countries and their peoples, especially in the economic and technological fields as well as in the sectors of trade, renewable energy, tourism, health, higher education and food security.

The two sides also exchanged views on a number of global issues of common concern.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hamad Alrawahi, Oman's ambassador to  India, Khalid  Almuslahi, head of the Minister's office and the delegation accompanying him. It was also attended from the Indian side by His Excellency Amit Narang, Ambassador of the Republic of India accredited to the Sultanate of Oman, and a number of officials from the Indian side.
