Foreign Minister receives phone call from Japanese counterpart
Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received a phone call this morning from His Excellency Yoshimasa Hayashi, Foreign Minister of Japan.
During the call they exchanged congratulations on the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Sultanate and Japan. They also emphasised the attention accorded to economic and technological partnership to support investment in economic diversification and renewable energy.
With regard to regional and international developments, the two sides discussed the importance of sustaining and consolidating the ceasefire in Yemen and intensifying diplomatic efforts to stop the Ukrainian war in order to achieve international peace and security. They also stressed the need to reach balance and stability in the energy market.
At the conclusion of the call, the Japanese Foreign Minister invited Oman's Foreign Minister to visit Japan, within the framework of the advanced relations between the two countries and in continuation of the dialogue and consultation between them on various issues and programmes of common interest.
