Foreign Ministry officials pay respects to Ambassadors of Pakistan and India

Khalid Almuslahi, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Al-Maskari, Head of the Foreign Ministry's GCC Department, visited the embassies of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Republic of India.

They met with Muhammad Imran Ali Chaudhry, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and Amit Narang, Ambassador of the Republic of India, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

During the two meetings, the officials expressed their sincere condolences over the deaths of members of the Pakistani and Indian communities following a shooting incident near a mosque in the Wadi Al Kabir area in Muscat Governorate.

They extended their wishes for a speedy recovery for those injured and affirmed Oman’s sympathy and support for the families affected by this horrific incident.

The Ambassadors praised the measures taken by the Omani authorities to contain the situation and confront the aggressors which reduced the loss of life.

They expressed their thanks and appreciation for the medical care that the injured are receiving in hospitals in Oman and offered their sincere condolences on the death of one of the security men and their best wishes for all the injured.

They affirmed their countries’ full solidarity with Oman and their support for the measures it is taking to maintain the security, stability, tranquility and safety that the country enjoys.
