His Highness Sayyid Asaad heads to GCC EU summit
On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said, His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Special Representative of His Majesty, departed the country heading to the Kingdom of Belgium.
He will lead Oman's delegation at the first joint summit between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union which will take place in Brussels tomorrow.
Sayyid Asaad and his accompanying delegation were seen off by Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat; Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs; Dr Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources; and Dr Mohammed bin Said Al Mamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs.
Sayyid Asaad is accompanied by an official delegation which includes Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi; Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; Rua Issa Ashraf Alzadjali, Oman's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and to the European Union; Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Badi, Secretary General in the office of His Highness; Saif bin Ahmed Al Sawafi, Adviser in the office of His Highness; Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed Almaskari, Head of the Foreign Ministry's GCC Affairs Department; and Ambassador Munther Almandhari, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Europe Department.
