His Majesty and Algerian President hold a discussion session
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held an official meeting this morning at Al Alam Palace with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
At the start of the meeting, His Majesty welcomed the esteemed guest and his accompanying official delegation, expressing his hopes that their visit would be successful and beneficial for both brotherly nations. In return, President Tebboune extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Majesty for the warm welcome and generous hospitality.
The session included a review of areas of cooperation between the two countries with a view to opening new horizons for partnership and investment. The discussions also covered current events and there was an exchange of views aimed at promoting security and peace in the region.
The Omani delegation included Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers; Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and the Special Representative of His Majesty the Sultan; Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Hamood bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior; Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi; Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Oufi, Head of the Special Office; Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat and Head of the Mission of Honour; and Saif Nasser Rashid Al Badaai, Oman's Ambassador to Algeria.
The Algerian delegation included Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad; Laaziz Fayed, Minister of Finance; Mohamed Arkab, Minister of Energy and Mines; Kamel Baddari, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, Minister of Housing, Urbanisation and Cities; Tayeb Zitouni, Minister of Trade and Export Promotion; Fazia Dahleb, Minister of Environment and Renewable Energies; and Dr Mohamed Ali Bougazi, Ambassador of Algeria to Oman.
