His Majesty hosts official dinner in honour of Algerian President
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik hosted an official dinner this evening at Al Alam Palace in honour of His Excellency President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
Before the dinner, His Majesty the Sultan and the distinguished guest exchanged decorations and commemorative gifts to mark the President's gracious visit to Oman.
His Majesty the Sultan awarded President Tebboune the Al Said Order, the highest Omani medal, in expression of His Majesty's appreciation for the President and pride in the deep bonds of brotherhood and close friendship that unite the two countries and brotherly peoples.
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune awarded His Majesty the Sultan the Athir Order, the highest Algerian medal.
His Majesty also presented President Tebboune with a souvenir gift of an Omani dagger.
President Tebboune presented an Algerian sword as a gift to His Majesty.
The dinner was attended by high ranking dignitaries, including members of the Royal Family, Ministers, the Chairmen of the State Council and Shura Council, senior commanders of the Sultan’s Armed Forces and Royal Oman Police, Undersecretaries, Ambassadors from the Foreign Ministry, and a number of business leaders.
