Oman mediates prisoner swap between Iran and Belgium

Following the directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to help resolve the requests of the Iranian and Belgian governments for help regarding the release of detained citizens in both countries, the Sultanate of Oman has secured an agreement between the two sides for a mutual exchange deal.

The released individuals have been transported from Tehran and Brussels to Muscat today, in preparation for their return to their respective countries.

The Sultanate of Oman appreciates the positive spirit that prevailed during the high level discussions in Muscat between Iran and Belgium and their commitment to resolving this humanitarian issue.
