Bilateral relations

Omani-Bahraini relations have a long history, going far back in time, starting with communications in ancient times, never interrupted from that era to the present day.

Bilateral visits and official meetings between the two brotherly countries bear witness to this relationship, a relationship that constitutes an ideal model for relations between brothers, at all official and popular levels and in all areas of cooperation, especially political and social.

These historical relations are an extension of the close relations established by previous generations since ancient times when Majan and Dilmun were linked by commercial relations evidence of which are revealed by archaeological discoveries day after day.

With the progression of history, relations between the two countries saw more cohesion, as the two countries were drawn together by the fabric of history, Islam, Arabism, common culture and shared destiny.

The establishment of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) increased the depth of relations and interdependence between the two countries.

Relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain are witnessing increasing development in various fields, based on the relations of love and affection that bind the leaderships and peoples of the two countries.

Thanks to the belief of the Sultanate in the importance of education, the Embassy is keen to provide educational and training opportunities for all Omani citizens wishing to study in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This is achieved through cooperation with the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom, with the two sides working to enhance educational understanding between the two parties.
