Mauritanian President receives Foreign Minister

Mohamed Cheikh El Ghazouani. President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania received Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi at the Presidential Palace in the capital, Nouakchott, this evening.

The meeting was part of an official visit by the Foreign Minister to Mauritania.

During the meeting, the Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, along with His Majesty's best wishes for continued growth and prosperity to the President and to the people of Mauritania. He also conveyed His Majesty’s hopes for further progress in relations between the two countries.

President El Ghazouani, extended his heartfelt greetings and appreciation to His Majesty, along with his best wishes to the Sultan and the Omani people. He expressed his hope that relations between the two countries will continue to grow and prosper.

The meeting reviewed relations between the two countries, affirming their mutual commitment to developing these relations across various fields for the mutual benefit of both countries and their peoples.

The discussions also touched on regional and international issues.

The meeting was attended by Dr Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Mauritania’s Foreign Minister and Sheikh Saif bin Hilal Almamari, Oman's Ambassador to Mauritania.
