Minister and Iranian counterpart support efforts to halt escalation in region
Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received at the Foreign Ministry in Muscat, Dr Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Ministers reaffirmed the strong ties between the two friendly countries and the historical, cultural and growing economic interests they share.
They discussed the current issues and challenges in the region, particularly the escalation caused by the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon and Gaza, in addition to Israel's refusal to withdraw from the occupied Palestinian territories in accordance with United Nations resolutions and international law.
Both Ministers stressed the importance of continuing and supporting efforts to reduce escalation and tension in the region through dialogue and peaceful means, using diplomacy as a primary tool to resolve disputes and conflicts.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing collective cooperation to achieve sustained security, stability and development for the entire region.
