Minister takes part in working dinner ahead of first Gulf-European Summit
Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, participated in a working dinner hosted by the European Union in honour of the Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The event took place in preparation for the first Gulf-European Summit which is being held today in the Belgian capital, Brussels.
The Ministers discussed a range of cooperation topics between the two groups and exchanged views on current issues, particularly the serious escalation in the Middle East.
They emphasised the centrality of the Palestinian issue in achieving security, stability and peace in accordance with international references and the Arab Peace Initiative.
The Ministers also addressed the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, stressing the need to continue efforts to secure a ceasefire and uphold international law without double standards while prioritising humanitarian and environmental concerns.
