Ministry celebrates Omani Women's Day
The Foreign Ministry celebrated Omani Women's Day with a special event featuring retired Ambassador Khadija bint Hassan bin Salman Allawatiya, the first Omani female Ambassador during the modern Omani Renaissance.
The event was attended by female employees of the Ministry and by Administrative Undersecretary, Khalid Almuslahi, along with the heads of various departments.
In a speech to the event, Ambassador Khadija Allawatiya highlighted the role of women in Omani diplomacy and their work in representing the Sultanate in international forums.
The celebration also included the screening of a short film about Omani women in the Sultanate's diplomatic corps.
In a related event, the Diplomatic Academy hosted the esteemed Omani media figure, Dr Mona bint Mahfoudh Al Munthiriya, who spoke about the achievements of Omani women and their future aspirations. The event formed part of the Academy's 44th diplomatic course.
