Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister held a meeting with Michele Coninsx, United Nations Assistant Secretary-General and Executive Director of the Counter-Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED).

The meeting was held via video link on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.

The meeting reviewed the UN’s efforts in counter-terrorism strategies. It also highlighted the best international practices in all fields of counter-terrorism.

The meeting further explored spheres of the cooperation between the Sultanate and the UN.

Michele Coninsx lauded the efforts and policies of the Sultanate in countering extremism and terrorism, as well as its constructive cooperation.
