Foreign Minister receives US Special Envoy to Yemen

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received in Muscat today Tim Lenderking, the US Special Envoy to Yemen.

The meeting discussed the ongoing efforts to sustain the truce in the Republic of Yemen and how to build confidence and enable constructive dialogue between all Yemeni parties and forces. The two sides affirmed their support for the efforts of the UN Secretary-General's Envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, towards ending the war and entering into a comprehensive political process that meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people to achieve security, stability and peace in the Republic of Yemen and their aspirations for reconstruction, development and prosperity.

The US Special Envoy for Yemen expressed his appreciation for the efforts and support of the Sultanate of Oman's government.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Khalid Almuslahi, Head of the Minister's Office Department and a number of officials from both sides.
