Oman and Tanzania strengthen business ties
Oman and Tanzania signed seven memoranda of understanding (MoUs) at the Oman-Tanzanian Business Forum in Muscat.
The forum was attended by Qais Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion; Said Salim Hamed Alsinawi, Oman's Consul General in Zanzibar; Sharif Ali Sharif, Minister of State in the President’s Office for Labour, Economy, and Investment; Faisal bin Abdullah al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and other officials.
More than 150 participants from Tanzania also attended.
The forum featured several presentations on enhancing investment attraction, incentives and investment opportunities in Oman and Tanzania.
These efforts aim to provide unique opportunities for investors to explore new economic environments and expand avenues of commercial cooperation between the two countries.
The MoUs were signed in the sectors of construction, real estate, agriculture, information and communication technology, renewable energy, investment services and consulting in both Tanzania and Zanzibar.
