Oman at GCC US ministerial meeting
Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi led the Omani delegation at a GCC US ministerial meeting held in New York as part of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The Ministers exchanged views on regional issues, particularly the Palestinian cause, emphasising the need for an immediate end to the war in Gaza, a ceasefire with Lebanon, de-escalation and the prevention of further conflict.
They strongly reaffirmed the two-state solution and the implementation of the Arab Peace Initiative.
The Ministers also discussed various aspects of security, political and economic cooperation, along with the regional challenges posed by ongoing wars and conflicts.
They stressed the need for addressing these issues through dialogue and peaceful means.
