Oman at meeting of coalition against ISIS
Sheikh Abdulaziz Alhinai, Oman's Ambassador at large, headed the Sultanate's delegation to a ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition Against ISIS.
The meeting in New York discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination to address global challenges and combat the spread of terrorist groups, particularly ISIS. It also reviewed initiatives aimed at ensuring stability in areas previously affected by attacks from terrorist groups and tackling the rise of extremism.
The Global Coalition Against ISIS consists of 87 countries and international organisations. It was established in September 2014 with the aim of eradicating ISIS.
