Oman participates in session of GCC Ministerial Council

Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister of Oman headed the Sultanate’s delegation to a session of the Ministerial Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), held today at the headquarters of the GCC General Secretariat in the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.

The work of the 153rd session was chaired by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the presence of GCC Foreign Ministers and the GCC Secretary-General.

During the meeting, the ministers reviewed the implementation of decisions issued by the GCC’s Supreme Council aimed at strengthening joint Gulf action and redoubling efforts to translate Gulf ambitions and goals into reality within the framework of qualitative, feasible projects that benefit the economy and meet the hopes and aspirations of the peoples of the GCC states.

The ministers stressed the importance of working closely in order to achieve peace and sustainable development in the regional and international arenas.
