The Sultanate has welcomed the initiative announced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to reach a political solution to the crisis in the Republic of Yemen.

In a statement Oman pledges to continue to work with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Nations and the Yemeni parties concerned to achieve the desired political settlement that will restore security and stability to Yemen in a way that preserves the security and interests of the region’s countries.
